Keeping You Safe At Anthony John Salons In Lichfield

We would like to share what the next steps are for us going forward to ensure we feel we are working safely under the new guidance from the government re Covid19.

As of July 19th, the rules are changing, affectively they are leaving it up to the individual businesses to decide what policies and procedures they should have in place to keep the public, and employees, safe whilst in their premises. They are however still highly recommending certain aspects of the health and safety measures we have had in place for over a year now. Please see below the lengths that we are going to continue to go to.

Firstly, we expect this month for isoaltion figures to rise considerably for everybody until the rules around this are changed in mid August. We ask that if you are having to isolate that you let us know with as much notice as possible so that we can fill the time that this has created.

Likewise, if any of our team are having to isolate we will contact you as soon as we can to try and find you a new appointment at your earliest convenience. It's always horrible having to make those calls so apologies in advance if we do have to, it's simply the nature of what we're all having to deal with currently.

Face Masks

Face Masks

We have a relatively young team at Anthony John Salons, our apprenticeship programme is a big part of what we do and with that will always bring a young workforce. This means we will have at least a few staff who won't have their second vaccination jab until September. As a team we will all be wearing our masks until every last one of us has been vaccinated, to do it any other way would be unfair. With this in mind we will ask that clients also wear a face mask to help me protect my team.

Whilst this is no longer law it is highly recommended. If you feel extremely uncomfortable wearing a mask then please let us know. At the point where we feel it's safe for us to no longer wear masks we will of course communicate this to you. We will however then welcome any clients to request us to wear a mask if they feel safer with us wearing one whilst working on your hair.

We will continue to keep numbers in our salon to a minimum for the time being. We will continue to work in split shifts meaning that only half of the team are in at any one time thus meaning half of the potential clients.

We will also carry on working as we have in terms of sections and with no balcony room meaning you stay in one section throughout your time with us.

We have November 1st in mind to put into action our new rota, and our client journey to revert to what it was... but only if we feel it's safe to do so.

Social Distancing

Social Distancing

At this moment in time we will still ask you to keep all belongings with you and you will still receive your laundered gown in a sealed bag on arrival. Our Perspex screens at the backwash area will remain in place, this is the only area in our salon where clients sit within what has been the recommended distance apart, hence our screens in this area. We will keep them in place as extra precaution and comfort for the time being.

The thorough cleaning of every section with antibacterial products will still take place before and after every clients time with us. All of our team will continue to do regular lateral flow tests and we'd of course appreciate it greatly if our clients were to do the same. It's just another thing that we can all do to protect each other all the more.

Thank You

So, as you can see, the majority of the measures we have had in place since July last year will remain. We will gradually bring these measures down bit by bit where we feel it is safe to do so over the coming months and will as always communicate this with you as we go. Please be rest assured that at the heart of what we do and any decisions we make will remain the health, safety and wellbeing of all of our wonderful clients and tremendous team.

I want to say a huge thank you to all of you for the support, kind words and smiles you've given Anthony John Salons over the past 18 months. It really has been a tough time to navigate as a business owner, I really hope we have continued to give you hair you love, a place you adore to spend time in and an extra spring in your step as you leave.

With all of the above in mind we are reducing our covid surcharge by half as of 19/7/21 to £2 with the view to have no charge whatsoever from November 1st onwards as long as everything goes to plan and no further restrictions or guidance is put in place. Things are getting better bit by bit but please all stay safe. We can't wait to see you all over the coming months.

Thanks again. We can't wait to see you!
Tony & Team AJS.
