AJS in the Industry: Education & Coaching

At AJS, we are passionate about advancing the art of hairdressing through continuous education and training. Our team receives thousands of hours of in-house and expert-led education each year, ensuring they stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving industry.
That training is a mixture of in-house mastery, ensuring the whole team understand our philosophy with hair, our approach to hair and our own consultation, colouring, cutting and finishing methods.
We also lean on our affiliated companies to further extend our knowledge - with experts from L'Oreal Professional, Kerastase, showpony extensions and GHD all visiting us multiple times per year to enhance our teams knowledge and help us ensure that we remain at the forefront of this fast paced ever changing industry.
Creating the best the industry has to offer
Our apprentices and stylists are also encouraged to join industry teams, for which we have had our people on KMS, Goldwell, GHD, Kerastase Care Coach, Loreal ID Artist and Fellowship Hair teams over the years. During their time in these groups, they receive the highest level of training which they bring back to the rest of the team, ensuring we all grow together. They also get huge opportunities at industry events, photoshoots and shows such as London Fashion week.
All of this takes huge investment - but education is at the core of what AJS does. Creating the best the industry has to offer and continuously growing people is our aim, as you can see from our awards page, reviews and the success we've had over the 14 years, we are proving to be doing just that.
Education & AJS Coaching
We are also educators ourselves for the rest of the industry. I head up a mentoring programme with Kerastase, called Kerastase Care Coach, in which I educate hundreds of stylists, managers and salon owners in all things customer experience, professional difference, salon hairdressing and leading teams.
You can find me as a guest speaker at many industry events sharing my knowledge and trying to upskill the industry. You will also find many of our stylists, on stage, at events and academy's teaching fellow hairdressers how to be even better at what they do.
