Troy LOreal ID Artist AJS Salons Lichfield

Troy Works His Magic at Fashion District First Selects in Spitalfields

On Off presented a curated show of London Designers work at the recent Fashion District First Selects show at Spitalfields Market on Tuesday evening.

To help develop young hairdressing creative talent, L'Oréal Professionnel invited the current ID Artists from UK & Ireland - including our very own Troy - to style the hair for the show. Troy and his fellow L'Oréal ID Artists were mentored by experienced Lead stylist, Mark Wooley (at Electric Hairdressing) who designed the look, assisted by Cassandra Dolan.

The ID Artist's were:

Amelia Cicale/Yoke the Salon
Troy Boyd/Anthony John Salons
Giuseppe Di Rosa/Trevor Sorbie
Elle Foreman/Tribe Salon
Stephen Campbell/Hair & Co
Neil Cooney/Brown Sugar
Clare Kenny/Hession Hairdressing

Pro Tip: How To Create The Look

The look was a slick low ponytail with the lengths bound in string or plaited. To achieve this the hair was blow dried and tonged smooth, then brushed back using Tecni.Art Fix Design spray gel into a slick low ponytail. A little Techni.Art Liss Control smoothing cream was brushed through the lengths before being bounded in leather string.

The boys and models with shorter hair had a clean centre-parting, gelled back with Techni.Art Fix Design gel spray with some texture on the tips for contrast and finished with Tecni.Art Anti-Frizz spray.

Pro tip: use L'Oréal Professionnel Curl Expression crème liss an intensive moisturising smoothing crème for textured hair.

The looks were tailored to each model’s individual look.
